Why we built AI CV Builder

We started AI CV Builder because we kept hitting the same wall. You find a role that fits perfectly, spend 45 minutes rewriting your CV to match, and still hear nothing. Then you discover that the majority of applications are filtered out by Applicant Tracking Systems before a recruiter ever reads them (Jobscan estimates up to 75% never reach a human) — and that your carefully written CV was being rejected on technicalities.

The tools that existed were either American (wrong date format, wrong spelling, wrong paper size) or they produced output that read like it was written by a machine. We wanted something different: a tool that genuinely understood the UK job market, wrote in British English, and produced CVs that sounded like a competent professional — not a language model.

AI CV Builder is the result. You upload your existing CV, paste in a job description, and the AI rewrites your bullets, summary, and skills section to match what the employer is looking for. The output is ATS-optimised (single-column, standard fonts, proper headings) and scored against the job description so you know exactly where you stand before you hit apply.

What we believe

• Every application deserves a tailored CV. Sending the same document to every role is the single biggest reason candidates get ghosted.
• AI should save you time, not replace your voice. The best CV is one that accurately represents your experience — just framed in the language the employer is looking for.
• Privacy is non-negotiable. Your CV contains personal data. We don't store it after download, we're fully GDPR compliant, and deleting your account removes everything immediately.
• Fair pricing matters. £5 for a tailored CV with no account required. No dark patterns, no surprise subscriptions, no hidden fees.

Built in the UK, for the UK

AI CV Builder is a UK-based product. We use British English throughout, format for A4 paper, use UK date conventions (DD/MM/YYYY), and never include a photo — because that's what UK recruiters expect. Our ATS scoring is calibrated against the systems most commonly used by UK employers, including Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, and Oracle Taleo.
